“SINUS for Primary Schools” was a teacher professional development program in Germany with the aim to support 4th-grade teachers in developing their mathematics and science instruction. In order to obtain evidence of differences that might have been caused by the program, students’ science achievement scores and indicators of teacher cooperation and development were compared between the SINUS program sample and the national sample for TIMSS 2011 in Germany. The findings show that students with teachers taking part in the SINUS program had significantly higher science competencies.
