Educational Measurement and Data Science

The department of Educational Measurement and Data Science falls within the disciplines of empirical educational research, applied statistics, and educational psychology. The department focuses on statistical and methodological challenges facing research in educational psychology and educational theory.

The department's overall goal is to generate recommendations for research practice based on its own research results, from which primarily the empirical work of the other departments will benefit directly. Software (e.g., packages in R) is also developed to enable user-friendly applications. Furthermore, the department offers regular training, such as workshops for researchers of other IPN departments.
