Generations of teachers have demonstrated the decolorization of the Iodine Test for Starch by adding salivary amylase. However, the end products are not verified by this method and science education literature explains them contradictorily. The Woehlk Test and the GOD Test can easily proof maltose and surprisingly also glucose as end products, thus bringing the experiment to a satisfactory close.
