The professorship is positioned in the field of science education, particularly chemistry, which enables a focus on content that is often associated with controversial issues in society. The successful candidate is expected to supervise graduate students and contribute scholarship and evidence-based practice in science communication also to pre- and in-service training efforts for educators in formal and informal settings.
